“2GATES” is the 2017 album by Italian-born, Berlin-based electronic artist Munsha. The eight track outing features the eclectic cellist/vocalist/producer (birth name: Daniela Lunelli) crafting a selection of songs that range from brooding trip hop balladry to industrial dark wave with the cohesive touch of a classically trained musician.
“2GATES” is Munsha’s second release via GLITCH after the EP “Who Will Play After?” in March 2016.
The song “The ticking throat” appears in the short movie Plexus, produced by Ben Berlin ©2016 Since 2009 Munsha is a member of the band Max Maffia & the Empty Daybox, an italian acoustic instrumental ambient band. The band released "Happiness is a tree" in 2012 and the EP "A better place" in 2015 on Daybox Records.
She is also member of 42wiredbeasts and Uccellino Giallo Film Production. As a solo artist, Munsha is the composer of several musical theater performances and sound installations and she produced and released “33” (2012), “Hybrid001” (2014) and “The Conceit of Childhood (2016).
She collaborated and shared the stage with Bob Rutman , Jochen Arbeit , Tatwerk | Performative Forschung , Renato Rivolta and International Academy of Music in Milan , Grim [ Group for Research and Improvisation ] , Veronica Cruciani , Cristina Vetrone , Salvatore Gatto , Myriam Lattanzio , Fine Art Academy of Neaples and others.
