Messnr is a layering project; layers and layers and layers of overlapping tracks: streaming from radio tuners, youtube files, bandcamp.. Not a record, not even a vinyl. What makes up the layering of this delicate schist rock: Kranky Records, Hank Williams, Alan Lomax, Frank Sinatra, early electronic music, orchestra rehearsals, radio frequencies, mission control, meditation sounds, police sirens. It is listening to the gold records that are traveling on the Voyager, all the tracks, simultaneously.
