Queer electronic post-punk duo formed by Dita Crumbs and Dada Kötz Crumbs, born and raised in São Paulo, Brazil and now residing in Leipzig.
Influenced by the post-punk scene and fascinated by electronic sounds, the duo started making music in early 2015. Their music cannot be categorized into a single genre, expect dadaist vocals accompanied by pungent synthesizers, eccentric melodies and cold beats.  Werher Effekt is strongly active in the underground DIY scene in Leipzig and around, their purpose is to expose people to an unusual dance floor, mixing different and often opposed music genres and influences.  Werther Effekt stands for antifascism/for DIY/for women/for LGBTQI*  Music style: post-punk, weird wave, minimal-synth, obscure electronics, synthpunk

Die Band um Katrin Holzapfel, Andrew McGinn und Frank Wegling kommt endlich wieder für ein „intimate acoustic concert“ live im Eschschloraque zusammen!

THE BAR SINISTER kennzeichnet neben einmaligen musikalischen Kompositionen und passioniertem Songwriting ein facettenreiches künstlerisches Schaffen aus Performance, Singer/Songwriting und umfassendem musikalischem Talent: Katrin Holzapfel, Vocalist/Pianis /Songwriter/ Performerin, bewegt sich mit einem Naturtalent und jahrelangem Soul-Pop Vocaltraining gesanglich auf höchstem Niveau. Sie war Teil des Künstler*innenkollektivs ‘Kinder des Oubliettes’ – umfassende Puppet Musicals mit Gesang, Tanz und Marionettentheater mit eigens erbauten Puppen – und hier an Script, Produktion, Performance und Gesang beteiligt. Für die freie Berliner Tanzgemeinschaft SR&Company schrieb sie außerdem die Musik für mehrere Tanzperformances (Sinister Suite / Goethe ‘Erlkönig’).

AndrewMcGinn, Vocalist/Performer/Songwriter/Composer/Producer/Keyboard/Bass, ist ein geborener Performer mit herausragender Rock/Soul-Stimme. 2016 begründete er das Künstler*innenkollektiv ‘Kinder des Oubliettes’. Andrew komponierte und produzierte zudem ein 35-minütiges Mini-Musical, das mehrfach mit großem Erfolg aufgeführt wurde. Er arbeitet ebenso mit der SR&Company zusammen (‘Sinister Suite’) und komponierte eine vollständige, neue Musical-Version für Goethes ‘Erlkönig’ (Sommer 2018). Zusammen mit Katrin Holzapfel erarbeitet er neue Songs für ihre gemeinsame Pop-Electro Band ‘Monkey Drug’.

Frank Wegling, Songwriter/Singer/Multi-Instrumentalist/Composer/Arranger/Producer/Performer, ist Zeit seines Lebens Musiker – erste Stücke schrieb und nahm er bereits als Kind auf. Seitdem spielte und performte Frank in zahlreichen Bands, schrieb ebenso die Musik für verschiedene Projekte und komponierte in vollständiges Musical.

Am 19. März 2020 nehmen sie zusammen als THE BAR SINISTER die Bühne im Eschschloraque ein, um im Halbdunkel des Künstlerclubs hellauf zu begeistern!

Das Stück „Lotte“ wurde erstmalig 2018 im Rahmen des Zeitgenössischen Tanzabends der S R & C o m p a n y aufgeführt.

Nun 2 Jahre später, möchte sich die unabhängige Choreografin, Kira Metzler, außerhalb der Berliner Tanzgemeinschaft erneut mit diesem Thema auseinandersetzen.

Somit wird die Produktion als Neuauflage präsentiert.

Eduardo Delgado Lopez (Educador) provides unique music sets ranging from Hip Hop, Dub, and Jungle to Punk, Latin and Funk. He has played with everyone who is anyone, but is especially known for playing bass with the Caspar Brötzmann Massaker. His radical, minimal and sequential playing seems just to be made for Mark Boombastik’s sharp beat(boxing). As a DJ he serves a wide range of Hip Hop, Dub, Jungle, Punk, Latin and Funk. He has been playing in clubs, such as, Toaster or WMF, and the bass also with Reality Brothers.

Peter Entrée (bass) first met Jordan Ramsay (keys) in the summer of 2004 while attending a filo-pastry-making course in the sparse jungles of Western Australia. They tentatively hit it off, abandoning the course and journeying on together in search of the perfect dish. Along the way, they joined an army, learned the dark arts of modulation, and met a string of colourful characters.

This is their story; told through music and film. Expect a pinch of electronic beats, freshly-ground funk rhythms, surprise witnesses, and a healthy dollop of good vibes to top it all off. Enjoy hot or cold!

Party addicted and Flea markets vinyl junkee, since his early days in Berlin Mybachdisco get in touch with the unique atmosfere of a city “in-between”. Getting the chance to being in contact with the infamous label Bptich Control, he could absorb day and night the Berlin electro music scene in all its entirety. In the attempt to put together the music influences of more of 20 years, he always try to reproduce this ride between timeless sounds and forgotten spaces playing a“back into groove” mix of electro, disco & dub. You may have already listen to him playing at Das Hotel during his monthly residency “Mo Better Funk” or at Farbfernseher, at Goldengate and at Gretchen sharing the decks with important names like Nickodemus, Pagliara, The Ivory Boy, Mop Mop and many others. Currently still based in Berlin and producing releases together with his partner in crime Tulioxi under the italian label “Cosmic Sumo”.
